So what exactly are these healing stones or 'tumblestones  ' (or tumbled stones as they are often called) I hear you ask? More of that in a minute but first a bit of history!

As a human race we have had a fascination (call it an affinity) with healing stones and crystals for thousands of years. We wore them around our necks when we lived in caves. Moving forward to the Egyptians, they used lapis lazuli, turquoise, carnelian and clear quartz in their jewellery. They also used them for protection, health and cosmetically in their make-up. The Greeks then lived their lives around the healing properties of crystals and it is their language which still gives us the names of many of the crystals used today. In fact the word crystal comes from the Greek word for ice as they believed that clear quartz was water frozen so hard that it would never melt.

And so to modern times. The 1980's saw the re-emergence of the use of crystals for healing purposes with the arrival of the New Age culture. As you can see, as with so many things in life, it was purely coming around again!!

History lesson over!! Tumbled stones are exactly what it says on the tin! They are natural crystals which have been put in a tumbler, together with fine grit and tumbled continuously for days if not weeks until they are smooth. During the process they are taken out and inspected.

So, you end up with a beautiful natural stone containing all the amazing healing properties within....

Tumblestones are natural crystal stones which have been tumbled to create the special polished smooth look that brings out there true beauty.

Because of their healing properties, they are widely used for crystal healing, during meditation and also carried by many people in their pockets, bags and wallets. Some even wear them in the form of necklaces, or have them as keyrings. Having them around you WILL bring out the healing properties within them.
