1. Our Crystal Healing site finds many articles across the internet on a daily basis. Some of these that you may have missed but are interesting are as follows:

2. Rhodochrosite -

Rhodochrosite is manganese carbonate and is found throughout South Africa, Argentina, Peru, the United States and Canada.
It is formed deep underground when water dissolves manganese. This dissolved manganese combines with a carbonate material and drips from the top of caves.

It is sometimes called Astorite after Col. John Jacob Astor IV, who was the owner of a mine in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Incidentally, Col. Astor died on the Titanic.
According to the Inca tribe in South America, Rhodochrosite was the solidified blood of deceased royalty and as such had medicinal properties! Who can say!!

Rhodochrosite is considered to be a positive stone. It is believed to help develop inner freedom and help resolve inner conflicts. It is also a stone of love and balance. Rhodochrosite is considered a healing stone for the fourth chakra and heart chakra.

Rhodochrosite is used for healing purposes to relieve asthma and respiratory problems. It can restore poor eyesight and also stabilize the heartbeat. When the stone is left in water overnight to form an elixir, it has been known to balance the thyroid and improve the skin.

Bloodstone -

Bloodstone is actually a green jasper and the red spots are iron oxide. It is widely known as the birthstone of March. Bloodstone is quite often known as heliotrope. A very romantic legend is that bloodstone was formed when Jesus Christ was on the cross and drops of his blood dropped onto some jasper which was at the foot of the cross. Bloodstone is mined in India, the US and Australia.

In India, finely ground Bloodstone is used as an aphrodisiac and also medicine in India. In healing terms bloodstone is used as a cleanser for blood and also to stimulate the immune system.

It removes toxins and is helpful in cases of leukemia. Psychologically bloodstone gives courage and encourages selflessness. In spiritual terms bloodstone brings spirituality into everyday life.
